About this Event

Come and join us as we celebrate the 125 years of the Dohnavur Fellowship, India. Established 125 years ago by the Irish missionary Amy Carmichael. Founded originally in 1901 by Amy Carmichael (fondly known as ‘Amma’) as a home for rescued children, the good work continues today as a wholly independently run Indian Christian organisation comprising many descendants of the Fellowship who grew up and chose to dedicate their lives to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others in need. This year is the 125th anniversary of the ministry of the Dohnavur Fellowship (DF) and we want to take this opportunity to give thanks to God for His faithfulness through these years. We are excited that Jerry Rajanesan (the CEO) and his wife Vasanthakumari have accepted an invitation to visit the UK from Dohnavur for three weeks in April 2026. Please see overleaf for dates and times of special events that you are welcomed to. During these events you will be able to enjoy videos of both the children and the 'starry cluster' singing. Amy Carmichael wrote many books, a number of which are still in print, as well as compilations from her unpublished writings. Those who worked with her, and some who knew her, have also written about Amy and the work of the Fellowship.
