125 Years of the Dohnavur Fellowship
Friends of DohnavurCome and join us as we celebrate the 125 years of the Dohnavur Fellowship, India. Established 125 years ago by the Irish missionary Amy Carmichael. Founded originally in 1901 by Amy Carmichael (fondly known as ‘Amma’) as a home for rescued children, the good work continues today as a wholly independently run Indian Christian organisation comprising many descendants of the Fellowship who grew up and chose to dedicate their lives to sharing the love of Jesus Christ with others in need. This year is the 125th anniversary of the ministry of the Dohnavur Fellowship (DF) and we want to take this opportunity to give thanks to God for His faithfulness through these years. We are excited that Jerry Rajanesan (the CEO) and his wife Vasanthakumari have accepted an invitation to visit the UK from Dohnavur for three weeks in April 2026. Please see overleaf for dates and times of special events that you are welcomed to. During these events you will be able to enjoy videos of both the children and the 'starry cluster' singing. Amy Carmichael wrote many books, a number of which are still in print, as well as compilations from her unpublished writings. Those who worked with her, and some who knew her, have also written about Amy and the work of the Fellowship.

OnlineCreative Calm Spring Online Course
Creative CalmThe course is designed for Christian parents who regularly parent dysregulated children, whether that be through foster care, adoption, kinship care, and/or SEND, in recognition of the impact that parenting can have on your own well-being and how little time and space there is for your own self-care. Throughout the course we will explore a variety of creative, faith-based, self-care practices to help you learn to soothe your nervous system, develop some new regulation skills, and enjoy a moment peace, in connection with others on the same journey. You will receive a box that will be posted to you with all of the resources that you need for the course so you need to simply come as you are and enjoy the gift of calm each week. The course will take place online on Mondays, 8-9.15pm, starting 13th April.
OnlineLevel 1 Training: Domestic Abuse Awareness
RestoredWe're passionate about helping churches feel confident in responding to disclosures of domestic abuse in safe and effective ways. Our level 1 course will help you explore key questions around the issue of domestic abuse. The series will start you on the journey of understanding domestic abuse, how you can spot the signs and how best to respond. The course explores key questions about domestic abuse: What is domestic abuse? - We'll explore the current domestic abuse definition the UK government uses. Particular emphasis will be given to understanding coercive and controlling behaviour and how it's displayed in an intimate relationship. How can I recognise the signs? - It's impossible to create an exhaustive list of the signs of domestic abuse. However, in this session, we explore the beliefs behind abusive behaviours and their effects on victims/survivors. Why does domestic abuse happen? - We visit some of the myths surrounding the causes of domestic abuse and explore how a distorted sense of who we are, alongside the power dynamics described in the creation narratives, can lead to abuse. Why doesn't she leave? - This is one of the key questions people ask, mainly if they are not aware of the complexities of domestic abuse. In this session, we explore some of the critical barriers to leaving an abuser and start to unpack how we can support a victim or survivor. Who is most affected by domestic abuse? - We explore statistics about the prevalence of domestic abuse and who is most at risk, in society as a whole and in church communities. How can I support victims/survivors of domestic abuse? - When supporting someone who is in or has been in an abusive relationship, it is important to remember that we are neither Jesus nor Sherlock Holmes. In this session, we explore how to offer appropriate support in a way that is safe, healthy and helpful. The Level 1 Training Course runs over 6 half an hour long sessions or 2 evenings. The course costs £30 to attend, and all sessions happen via Zoom.

AN INTRODUCTION TO WORKING WITH PORNOGRAPHY / SEX ADDICTION AND COMPULSIVE SEXUAL BEHAVIOUR IN COUNSELLING PRACTICE
Naked Truth This training is intentionally positioned as a foundational CPD day, not a specialist diploma. It aims to: - Build confidence, awareness, and ethical sensitivity around pornography and sex addiction in general practice settings. - Offer a strong base for those who may later pursue multi‑day diplomas or accredited specialist programmes in this field. Participants can expect a trauma‑informed, non‑shaming learning environment that invites self‑reflection on personal values, biases, and assumptions, fostering clearer, more compassionate therapeutic responses. Participants will explore: - Psychological, relational, and neurological dimensions of compulsive sexual behaviours and pornography use. - The impact of problematic porn use and sexual compulsivity on partners, families, and relationships. - Assessment considerations, risk awareness, and when/how to refer on for specialist help. The day blends teaching input, reflective practice, and applied discussion so that learning connects directly with participants’ real‑world client work
